is a documentary film being produced by Mike Ratel which will explore the culture of what has been called a "poor man's NASCAR". The people who race lawn mowers do not race for cash prizes and have formed a close knit community which fosters a commitment to see that gate receipts are donated towards worthy causes such as raising money for Huntington's disease research. Huntington's disease is a fatal hereditary disease that destroys neurons in areas of the brain involved in movement, intellect, and emotions. Each year racers from as far as Florida converge on Western Michigan for a USLMRA national points race which raises money and awareness for the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA).
